Kyle Busch Thrills Fans in Rochester to Promote Watkins Glen

Fans line East Broad St. to see #18 car
The streets of Rochester have never seen so much burnt rubber.

NASCAR star Kyle Busch zipped up and down East Broad Street in-between State St. and South Ave, peeling out and turning doughnuts all over the road with thousands of fans lining the street.

The performance was all part of a promotion plan put on by Watkins Glen International to raise interest in next month's NASCAR Sprint Cup race, the Cheez-It 355, at the famed road course.

The controlled stunts would have lasted longer had Busch not blown a tire doing doughnuts near Blue Cross Arena.

Watkins Glen is a sore subject for Busch. Last year, he saw his lead disappear on the final lap after slipping in an oil slick left by Bobby Labonte. Brad Keselowski was able to pass Busch before he too lost the lead to Marcos Ambrose just before the finish line.

The Cheez-It 355 at Watkins Glen takes place August 9-11.
