Local Red Cross Talks About Helping Typhoon Victims

One of the strongest storms to hit land, Typhoon Haiyan devastates the Philippines.
It's being called one of the strongest typhoons to ever hit landfall.
The catastrophic damage, done by Typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines, it's the second category five typhoon to strike the island this year.
The Philippine Red Cross had been preparing for the storm, but they could soon call for help.
Jay Bonafede works for the American Red Cross here in Western New York, they've been in constant communication with the Philippine Red Cross, and are monitoring the storm closely.
They will respond overseas if called, and will provide financial assistance if needed.
It's their job to get those left with nothing, food, water, shelter and clothing.
If they're called for disaster relief, they'll make sure those 800,000 people now left homeless, get back on their feet.
