Anne Serling has written a memoir about her father that may surprise some of his fans. Rod Serling created the television show, "The Twilight Zone." Serling gave a presentation at the Phelps Mansion Museum in Binghamton Monday. Her new book, "As I Knew Him: My Dad Rod Serling," covers her childhood with her father. Rod Serling grew up in Binghamton. His daughter says people assume he must have been a dark and foreboding person.

"He was brilliantly funny. He would do anything for a practical joke. He was a lot of fund and a lot like having a playmate," she said.

Her book is available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and many independent book-sellers.
