One man is dead following a double stabbing on North St. early Saturday morning.

The Rochester Police Department was called to North and Sobieski Streets for the report of a stabbing around 4 a.m. When they arrived they found a 32 year-old Lee Probst, of Rochester, with multiple stab wounds to his upper body. He was taken to Rochester General Hospital where he died a few hours later.

Police say they also found a second victim, Hermes Almodovar 19 years-old, of Rochester, with a stab wound to his torso. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

Lietenant Joseph Graham said that it appears that both victims were attending a gathering at 1141 North Street where there was an argument that escalated into a physical fight, during which both victims were stabbed. The suspect reportedly fled from the scene after the second victim was stabbed.

RPD is investigating the incident and no suspects are in custody at this time.
