Pittsford Blank Fairport at Rainy Frontier Field

Panthers tally twice in the 2nd and 3rd in impressive win
Rain may have dampened the spectators at Frontier Field but it would have no effect on Pittsford's spirit as the Panthers knocked off Fairport 4-0 on Saturday night.

As was the case in several games, the first period was less a hockey game than a practice of getting adjusted to the outdoor conditions. The scoring began in the second period when Pittsford's Greg Weyl scored on a 3-on-1 from a Tim Foster pass at 3:39. The Panthers doubled their lead at 12:16 when Nick Panara stuck home a Fairport turnover.

Pittsford grabbed two more goals in the third period. Panara added a second goal at 5:06 on the power play and Quinn Doyle made it 4-0 only 41 seconds later.

Both teams are now 5-3.
