Thanksgiving and Hanukkah are two days away and a snowstorm is coming- the perfect recipe for a packed and hectic Wegmans.

The roads could get slick and a lot of people want to grab what they need before it gets dark. Some shoppers said they usually wait until the day before Thanksgiving to grocery shop for Turkey Day. But instead, many of them played it safe and got it done Tuesday. Wegmans prepared for the snow and holiday with extra staff. Employees said they knew the storm was coming in enough time and are prepared.

"We are last minute shoppers but with the snowstorm we are coming out today. It's fun though. That's why we live in Rochester; for the snow," shopper Ken Kusak said.

"Now it's oh my God so here I am trying to get ready and also not go when it gets more horrific in here on Wednesday or, God forbid, Thursday," Geri Curwin said.

"We are definitely hitting Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and the storm all together. So the good news is we have help on hand already, but unfortunately it's a little difficult because of the extra support that we need from the incoming storm that we are expecting. But thank goodness we have lots of extra good employees on hand that are willing to put in some longer days for us and pick up some extra hours," Pittsford Wegmans store manager Kristin Ashby said.

Wegmans will stay open around the clock until 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving. They open back up at 8 a.m. on Black Friday.
