The photo service Shutterfly is suing to shut down an Eastman Kodak app that lets users buy photo albums made from pictures stored on Facebook.

Shutterfly bought the Kodak gallery online business last year for about $24 million. As part of the deal, Kodak agreed not to set up a competing business. The current app allows users to choose photos on Facebook to create an album which is then printed and sent to the consumer.

Kodak issued a statement saying "we believe Shutterfly's claim is without any merit, and Kodak will vigorously defend our position in court."
