Vehicle Split in Two After Accident in the Town of Livingston

The New York State Police responded to a one car accident on County Road 19 in the Town of Livingston.
The New York State Police responded to a car accident in the Town of Livingston on Thursday around 7:53 P.M.

State Police arrived to the scene on County Route 19 in the Town of Livingston to find a vehicle split in two after striking a telephone pole.

Jason VanAkooy, 34, was driving northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve while speeding.

The vehicle went off the road and struck a telephone pole, splitting the vehicle in two.

VanAckooy was airlifted to by Life Net to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and officials state charges are possible.
