Joey is the puppet horse from the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical. It takes three men to bring it to life on stage. The puppet weighs 120 pounds and is hand-made by 14 people. The War Horse met a few mounted patrol horses up close and personal.

"Our horse school, kind of before we began rehearsing with the actors, was only two weeks long. But the reality is that we continue to develop new behavior every time we see new horses," Gregory Manley said.

"War Horse" will be at the Auditorium Theatre through November 10th.
