Frontier, Vice President and General Manager for the Rochester area Phil Yawman discussed the company's growth Wednesday on News 8 at Sunrise.  "We just in the first quarter alone, corporately, added close to 30,000 high speed internet customers across the country," said Yawman. 

Frontier recently celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand re-opening of the Frontier Internet Help Desk in Henrietta.  About 200 employees are hosted at the site.  Inside the building, the Frontier Secure Support Center serves customers nationwide with services such as data back up and file sharing, identity protection, computer security and premium 24/7 technical support.  "The world has become data driven," noted Yawman.

Frontier Communications is an S&P 500 company and is included in the Fortune 500 list of America's largest corportations.  The company operates in 27 states, but continues to grow locally in Rochester where it employs approximately 1400 people.  "We have numerous centers of excellence that we have for many employees that serve customers all across the country, including engineering, IT, out network operations center, the Frontier Tech Support Center that we're talking about this morning," said Yawman.  He noted the company is able to draw from a well-educated and telecom saavy workforce.

As he looks to the future, Yawman said the goal is to continue Frontier's growth trend, adding market share while serving the changing needs of its customer base.
