Residents are invited to speak out again tonight about the idea of the Urban-Suburban Program being integrated into the district.
Governor Andrew Cuomo proposed extending a new teacher's probationary period from 3 years to 5 years. Saying a teacher needs to perform at an effective or highly effective rating to achieve their tenure.
"We invite you to come to Rochester and go into the classrooms spend some time with our students and if you think the teachers could do a better job, show them."
Although the overall graduation rate has barely budged for Rochester City Schools, more students are graduating from summer school.
Hundreds of taxpayers showed up Tuesday at a Spencerport School Board meeting to voice their opinions about a proposal to allow Rochester students to attend Spencerport Schools.
The program is called "Every Minute Matters."
The "3 to 3" program hopes to develop both social and academic skills in young children.
